Teaching in a BackPlate and Wing

watching through the channel now and as one of the guys who advocates training in bp/w’s. Regarding the crotch strap, there are two schools of thought. One is to put the belt on before the rig and then you run into the potential catching issues that you discussed. The other is to teach them how to don a weight belt while wearing the rig at the surface so the belt is over the crotch strap. This works quite well if the rig is fit properly and allows standard weight removal practices
