Just discovered your videos and really enjoying them, they’re very informative. Do you consider Trauma/EMT shears to be a good option for a dive tool?
Eezycut trilobite is the best line cutter in the world, I highly recommend – I got one the other day and played with it for 30 mins. It is rated to cut up to 8mm rope but it can cut up to 12mm . Including heavy duty webbing. Do you have one of these achim? They’re great! 🙂
Good insight for why not to kept your knife on your arm
Hi Achim,
I really enjoyed this video, it was very helpful :). Also what do you think of the Aqualung Cisors? (apart from them being too big)
Thanks,
Frank
Good information. Thanks.
Make sure it has the straps to mount to your leg, and the knife is a specialized diving knife like this one: http://bit.ly/1UqeUbC
I decided to make my own using a kitchen knife, and wrote a blog about it. Thanks for the videos!

Tolle Videos nur schade das sie nicht auf Deutsch sind. Aber ich verstehe den Internationalen Hintergrund.
“Divers used to carry big knives maybe to compansate something” :)))))))))
The knife almost stabs him 00:58
so much good info. thank you.
no names no close ups – waste of time
@tyler, the knife is from OMG-SIEL in Italy. no specific name / model.
Damn I got scared about that knife stabbing him for a second when he dropped it out of the sheath
consider EMT sheers… Will cut wire and line and useful in case of emergency to cut diver out of drysuit, wetsuit, or classic harness. very inexpensive, as well.
Difficult to get a steak knife in Ireland easily with serrations right to the handle. Also do you make the sheath yourself from webbing? Thanks – great info as always.
eezycut? EMT shears?
Good video. What do you think of trauma shears for diving as a cutting tool?
