Garmin Descent MK1 Dive Watch Review – Florida Freedivers

Jonathan and Eric lead you on the path of enlightened timekeeping with a review of the mighty Garmin Descent MK1 Dive Watch. The MK1 is more computer than watch as it provides text and phone alerts from your iPhone or Android device via a bombproof 1.2” color display.

As a full-featured dive computer with surface GPS in a sleek watch-style design; the MK1 uses TOPO mapping, built-in sensors including 3-axis compass, gyroscope, and barometric altimeter as well as GPS and GLONASS capability that lets you mark your dive entry and exit points for surface navigation.

The only problem i have with buying this watch is the fact its a smart watch.
Unlike mobile phones, I’m not paying this thing off and at the end receiving a brand new model up.
What kind of lifespan can i expect from this?
Thanks, any input would be great!
