Altama OTB Maritime Assault Boot First Impressions

Here is a short first impressions video on the Altama OTB Maritime Assault Boot. I like the look. Killer style and has a lot of great features. We will do an in depth review on  I do recommend going a size up and you should consider what kind of sock you will wear with them; a thick tube sock for long distance walking or perhaps a thinner running sock so you get the support you want. Boots have a soft, non cloth insert that can be removed if you prefer to insert your own shoe/boot insert. Here are the features:

Maritime Assault Boot for all tactical water operations.
Fin friendly fit; fits just about any dive fins used by Militaries worldwide.
High abrasion quick drying 1000D Cordura quarter panels offered in both solid colors and MultiCam® Tear resistant.
Air mesh foam/cloth linings help wick away sweat and other moisture quickly from your feet.
Non-shine rust-proof lace hardware will not break on the battle field.
Low profile laces will not cause pain from fin wear on long swims.
Full length one piece ABS shank provides stability and support when climbing a caving ladder
Ultron® PU contoured insole will not absorb water.
Front non-metallic drain ports allow for water to drain easily when flexing the boot.
SEAL Rubber sticky outsoles. The rubber compound was originally developed for rock climbing shoes and modified for wet tactical operations. SEAL Rubber is one of the stickiest, high traction rubbers on the market today.

bertocaster says:

are the soles very narrow? also does water get into the drain holes easily?

SBRMarksman says:

These are seriously so awesome. Great review, thanks for the info!

Danzig Rulze says:

Got two pair, each one of them had the same defect.  The stitching around the ball of the foot where the drain hole is at on the left foot was off and created a tight fit..  Wish I could get a pair without this defect.

Suburbannite says:

bought the lows, bad ass kicks

LeanDreMPeters says:

thats not gonna be good for sand. the lalo’s are the best options vie seen thus far though they should’ve gone for side drainage instead of the holes at the bottom. sea urchins can creep a pin through the holes.

Spotter Up says:

I switched out the inserts. I’m doing a full written review on

Chambelona59 says:

Returned mine to the dealer I purchased from, too tight and narrow, I wouldn’t have been able to walk a block in them.

Leon Cortez says:

I did not agree with the insoles. My socks got caught up with my toes and it was very uncomfortable. I changed them and now they fit great.

ezcompane says:

Would these be comfortable for regular ruck walks and everyday street wear? Im thinking about getting these and I’d probably wear them around town and on the occiasional ruck.
